The COMESA Clearing House (CCH) is a specialized financial institution of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), established under the COMESA Treaty to strengthen financial cooperation and regional integration.
CCH’s mandate is to facilitate the clearing and settlement of cross border payments in the region. We operate the Regional Payments and Settlement System (REPSS), providing a safe and reliable mechanism for cross-border settlements. We are currently piloting the Digital Retail Payment Platform (DRPP) to extend instant, inclusive payments to women entrepreneurs, youth innovators and the millions of disproportionately excluded MSMEs they represent.
Through strong partnerships with Central Banks, financial institutions and development partners, we are committed to fostering monetary cooperation, promoting financial integration and ensuring that digital innovation supports COMESA’s broader goal of deepening regional integration and shared prosperity.
